For my first blog post I want to feature a new & exciting project that I am delighted to share with you! If you are familiar with South Hill, Virginia, you may recognize the property I am getting ready to tell you about as the former South Hill Elementary School.
In the fall of 2018, owners, HGM&S 2, LLC purchased the original South Hill Elementary School with the vision of restoring & turning it into beautiful, state-of-the-art apartments. The former school will feature 27 modern, executive apartments that will be fully updated to include granite countertops, hardwood floors, black appliances, & spacious bedrooms. Each apartment has its own unique features & no two apartments will be the same. What you will love the most about this facility is how the unique character & amazing features of the original school have been incorporated it into the new apartments. Some of these features include the original chalkboards, hardwood floors, classroom doors, transoms, & bookshelves have remained as built-in features.
In addition to the 27 apartments, there are plans to convert the former auditorium into a state-of-the art venue & the former cafeteria transformed into a restaurant.
In addition to the fully restored interior, the exterior will not disappoint! There will be a beautiful garden area for residence to socialize & enjoy outdoor activities and the former playground will be converted into parking for residents and visitors.
As you can tell, I am so excited about this project. The apartments will be known as The Lofts on Franklin and anticipated to be available for rent on or before July 1, 2019. Leases will range from $900 up to $1,300 a month. Accepting applications for The Lofts on Franklin will start on June 3, 2019.
